The Gola National Park in Liberia - realising its vast potential


The project "Gola National Park in Liberia" is a 2-year project funded by the Jensen Foundation.  The goal of the project is to facilitate the establishment of the Gola Forest National Park in Liberia and support nearby communities to sustainably manage forest resources  - both to maximize benefits to them and to protect globally threatened endemic wildlife. The project implementation is in two of Liberia‚Äôs 15 counties, Grand Cape Mount and Gbarpolu. The major focus of the project is on community livelihood improvement, biodiversity threats monitoring and supporting the government to strengthen patrol & law enforcement within and around the proposed park
